La
Llorona
by Godiva
When the stars grow dark
The wind whispers its sweet melody
She sings her lullabye for mothers and lovers
All is still as she shares her heartache
Lonely cries haunting the night
Down from trees swaying high atop a ridge
Drunk on the sorrow
Up from the stream flowing deep in a gully
Crying for her pain
Remembering time long ago
The anguish it brought her
Her passion, love, life
She lost them for her choice
She pleads with Worlds beyond
For time to right her wrong
The stars grow cold
The snow settles on her heavy heart
She hears her answer
Calling from the shadows
They beckon her home
